Navigating a defined audit universe

Use this guide to understand the workflows associated with the audit universe after it is defined.

Accessing defined audit universe

  • On the Audit home page, select Go to audit universe in the Audit universe tile.

    Note

If the audit universe is not defined, then Define audit universe appears in the Audit universe tile. For more information, go to Defining audit universe.

The Audit universe page opens. This page contains two sections, Coverage displays the extent to which the various elements within an organization are included in the audit universe, and Audit universe lists the auditable entities that you selected while defining this audit universe.

The following guide helps you navigate the Audit universe page.

Redefine

Use this option to make changes to your audit universe. After you select Redefine, the Define audit universe page appears where you can redefine your audit universe.

Note

Redefine your audit universe only when significant changes occur in the process library or organizational structure. When you redefine your audit universe, all previously selected auditable entities are archived. This change affects ongoing audit risk assessments and audits in the Draft or Planning state. This action is permanent.
